Disclaimer: I know this forum is about digital media, but I found it the most fitting for this thread. If not, feel free to move it. Anyway, anybody here who likes comics not from fucking Japan? But from AMERICA. DC, MARVEL and shit. If so, post your favorites here. Mine are: The Sandman (1989-1996). You can't go wrong with anything written by Neil Gaiman. The art is mostly very good, too. And Dream is the best main character ever, his development is not too original (from bad guy to tragic hero trying to make up for his mistakes), but Gaiman makes him believable despite being a fantasy being. And Gotham Central. I'm a sucker for "tough detectives in a sump of corruption" type stories, and I find it incredibly fascinating to think about how superheroes would affect a society and the ordinary peacekeepers' work. This series portrays both, the indivudual stories are well thought out and, to top it off, most of them are drawn by my favorite comic artist, Michael Lark. Let me know your favorites, I'm always on the lookout for good comics I have not read yet.
