Is Black Mesa a good enhancement to the old Half Life? I heard they are finishing up the Xen levels.
Idk but when I played HL1 I spent like a day trying to figueeout what to do after the giant spider in xen
Finally resorted to Google to find out that my game glitched and the spider didn't jump onto the web like it was supposed to
ALL that time only to find out to reload to a few minutes earlier
they've been finishing the Xen levels for aeons so don't expect too much from that. Still worth playing, great game 1337/10
They've been finishing up the Xen levels for at least four years. I'd just go with the mod, you can find it on moddb.
I got matched with @kurisu on Splatwon the other day til my connection dropped unless someone else is swiping EDF handles.
Mario + Rabbids surprisingly ok
If anyone's wondering why I haven't been here for a week, it's because of these:
And soon-to-be this:
I have to say I've been doing pretty good during the summer sale so far.
Dead cells looks cool, how is that?
Spoiler: TL;DR It's 8/10
Combat is fast-paced and super satisfying. You can break open doors and it stuns enemies and you roll in with a rapier (deals a crit right after dodgeroll) and skewer some fools. As your busy the ranged guy gets back up and tries to shoot you but you tap your shield at the last minute and it does a Derk Souls-style parry that deflects it back and insta-kills. Then you drop down and slam on a bunch of enemies and launch kunai in all directions before telaporting behind someone and killing him instantly because your rapier does +30% damage to bleeding targets. Also you have the necromancy mutation so you get +4 health per kill.
Visuals and music are amazing. The animations are so smooth that I have to wonder if it's all pixel sprites or if they are 3D models just rendered so poorly that they look pixelated.
Biggest problem so far is an over all lack of content, but it's early access so there's no doubt that more will be added. Still, there's (usually) only 2 paths forward and just as many bosses at the 4th level.
It's a roguelike BTW
Good choice on Hollow Knight. I couldn't put that game down for two weeks. The final boss is hard as fuck though.
You're going to be be gone for another week after you start that if you're even half as much of a completionist as me.
Spent 45 hours on my first play-through where I went for pure human (not a single point invested in typhon powers)
Will do a typhon play-through one of these days, expect to spend less time on it this time around, but probably 25-30 hours more.
Best zero-g of any sci-fi shooter I've played thus far.
Worst part so far was the banker running with my money... Fucking back-stabing bitch.
Yeah I plan on doing a no psichippower run first. The worst part so far is moving in micro. CAN I PLEASE GO FASTER THAN A METER AND A HALF PER SECOND FFS. Also no recoil because logic.
Have you searched the pleasure house sub area in the city of tears?
I like Ace Attorney so I fucked myself over and got DANGANRONPA in the sale.
Yes, that's how I figured out she fucking ran off with my shit. I was thinking she turned into a zambo or something like that one miner.
BTW, pro-tip. Don't give the banker too much money or the above shit'll happen. I think the limit is 2k+ but I'm not sure.
Yeah it's around 2500 I think. In the grimm troupe patch there's a charm that hints towards the banker's true intentions. It forms as a flying pet that attacks anything that harms you. If you have it equipped while talking to the banker it will try to attack her. It was a really nice touch they added.
You do get a booster that lets you move fast enough that it can insta-kill you if you smack into shite at full speed. Also, no recoil in zero g is less realistic, but also less frustrating. You'd probably throw a fit if you started spinning uncontrollably every time you used a projectile weapon in zero g. I know I would. Recycler grenades are great, wish I had them in real life.
So this game is pretty neat in its way.
I love the aesthetics, the music is great and the combat historically accurate.
You don't even need to spin around, just move backwards by .05m/s with every 9mm. Recyclers are fun but it sucks when you die because it gets triggered by a huntress you're using to try to lure enemies. Got an achievement from dying from it.
I spend my money earned by selling cards on small games this summer sale.
These gave me a lot of hours for what they are worth.
Avoid gay romances and ugly female character models!
Go retro, today!
More inflated than a diamond ring! It's not that bad gameplay-wise, but it's insultingly unpolished, especially for something that was supposed to be an improved version. Poor resolution, graphical glitches, and pulls dick moves, even by Roguelike standards.
I dislike how they changed the artstyle for rebirth. I liked the cartoon style the original had more than the more detailed pixel style.
Was it actually supposed to be pixelated? It looks more like low resolution.
Been playing Dragon's Dogma: Dark Arisen. Pretty addicting generic squad rpg with Shadows of the Colossus monster climbing tacked on.
I highly recommend it if looking for a cheap fun time waster.
Only one more past to kill.
I heard they fucked the collision detection and made crash's hitbox fucking ROUNDED at the top and bottom so he can easily slide off platforms
I 100% completed the first one on PS1 a few months back and it was hard enough with a normal flat hitbox bottom
You never heard of a learning 'curve'?
