Winamp for audio, Media Player Classic for regular video viewing, XBMC for media center duties.

It's rather easy to navigate, but you have to remember, that the interface is designed to be used with a remote control and on a TV screen while you're sitting on the couch.

VLC player. I then feed the sound output to a Quad 33/303 with the radiator speakers, which you have probably never heard of but are possibly the finest solid state sound amplifier system ever built, if you dont believe me try buying a set on ebay, make sure you have a grand ready. They were made only for about 15 years from 1969, and there isnt a solid state amp built that sounds like a valve amp apart from these. I also used an H&H valved amp for playing Bass for years.

Pandora or iTunes for music, depending on if I've hit the cap on Pandora or not, and VLC for video.

I am a lazy mother fucker.

I suppose you are refering to the electrostatic speakers ESL-63.
Nice indeed, one of the best midranges ever, altough they need a woofer...
With the lack of treble, neither you nor I would have a problem, due to our venerable age, lol

Also: Any SS amplifier which sounds like a valve amplifier is a bad designed one.
In fact, every well-made well-designed amplifier sounds exactly the same, like i.e. a Yamaha Pro PA sounds exactly the same as a top Mark Levinson, or a Krell

Hi-end superstitions are funny, but quite dumb if you care to think a bit about it and do a little research...I mean, outside the circlejerking Hi-fi/Hi-end circus

Me, I use an active set: my Pc and a Marantz Cd for sources, a digital X-over as preamp, and a 5 channel Adcom for power, with bi-amped DIY speakers, and a woofer, all designed with WinISD

Yes... most of the gore ones are, my favorite is a courtroom fight video where the family of a young man sentenced to death for shamelessly raping and killing someone starts fighting and ganging up on the judge for sentencing their loved one to death. (bench trial) The family is just as fucked up as the condemned was...

Yes, they do... police and courtroom videos, fight videos, "owned"/fail videos, surveillance videos, hacked webcams and police scanner broadcasts. And I gave away both of my free invites too...
