Suicide vests should be part of every school's dress code
Backpack nukes with dead man switches
Boys were gonna solve this school shootins' problem right here and now I tell you whut. Just shoot the kids BEFORE they go to school! Problemo solved!
Unacceptable, that would mean less guns.
Oh yeah, you're right, that would never work.
The second amendment is for keeping the government in check, not personal defense. I support all kinds of unreasonable firearms and ordnance possession.
But more guns leads to more gun violence, not less. There is no scenario where arming more people with more guns creates less gun violence.
You have to be a retard to think more guns is the solution to solving gun violence.
Yeah but even that argument isn't that rational. I mean it's the least crazy of the pro-gun arguments but it's not like anyone is gonna fight off the US military with their AR-15. Now if citizens could own tanks and bombers and shit that would be a different story. Tanks in all our schools!
WHY DO YOU HATE FREEDOM
I'm okay with the risks of the second amendment. I think it's time society made a paradigm shift and took better advantage of the internet. We can solve school shootings by not having kids attend school in crowded buildings overrun by gangs and crime. Have the kids do public schooling online via webcam. Presto. No more school shootings.
Apparently you haven't followed any of the US engagements in the middle east for the last 17 years.
Yeah I thought about that but it's not like our military is getting its ass kicked in any significant way. We mostly just drop shit tons of bombs and make their lives a living hell. I think the same situation would probably apply here.
Also isis got buttfucked into oblivion pretty fast. Sometimes we get it right.
Also I support private ownership of tanks and bombers.
But then no more taxpayer funded daycare
It's taken an international coalition of the largest militaries on earth spending billions of dollars to crush some towel heads with AKs.
Yeah but all we're really doing there is providing airstrikes and intel. Other towel heads with AKs are doing most of the work.
Also I don't see much difference between an ignorant towel head with an AK and an ignorant redneck with an AR, except the redneck is bound to be fatter.
So you agree that guns are an effective means to fight the government.
Hmm no I was likening the insignificance you placed on towelheads with AKs to US rednecks. I honestly don't believe any resistance to a full fledged US assault would be effective. Our problems in the middle east have more to do with fighting in foreign territory and a lack of commitment.
If the US military was in [name a shithole country] in full force like it is at home, things would be different.
Like I said, the "resisting the gubmint" argument is the least retarded one in my opinion, but still not very good.
Stand yir ghround! I like that! That could work for some type of Battle Royale scenario as well!
Putting the boom back in boomers?
We have two recent wars that tell us exactly how an insurgency in America proper will go. Whether urban or rural, the strategies used by the government will force the insurgents to rely on traps, ambushes, assassinations, infiltrations and general subterfuge.
The guns are there so the government is forced to compromise, especially when it's trying to put down an insurrection. That's what happened during every single insurrection in America.
Case in point https://www.washingtonpost.com/news...one-in-oregon-most-of-which-ended-peacefully/
Every single time people have tried to resist the government it has ended badly for them i.e. prison or death
Nah. Guerrilla war works just fine with small arms. You should read how many times in history a large aggressor was repelled with a well organized and poorly armed militia.
Hell, we turned Afghanistan into a parking lot and the Taliban is still fucking shit up over there.
Do any of those times involve the modern US military? Maybe 100 years ago when they were pretty much using the same shit as civilians. I'm not referring to insurrections in other countries because depending on the country it's not comparable.
Again, Afghanistan, lack of commitment. Also incompetence on the part of the Afghan government.
Well the major factor is what is the issue being fought over? Because if it's some local stuff then the government can crush them but if, for instance, gun confiscation then you're going to see over a fifth of the country become insurgents overnight. If it's a local issue but the people resist and it leads to a lot of deaths then it might spiral into something far bigger.
Also, I'd like to point out that in insurgencies 90%+ of the problems insurgents face is finding weapons. If you have a populace that's already armed then the government will listen.
Reminder that the invasion of Afghanistan was 16 years ago and the taliban are still in control of almost the entire country and their heroin production has more than doubled since then
You're talking out your ass now. We were engaged in Afghanistan and Iraq longer than we were involved in WW2. We crushed both governments decisively. Big bombs don't win guerrilla wars though. They can't.
When the US would be using nukes and air strikes on American towns to squash a rebellion, they've already lost.
Also Afghanistan has been resisting foreign occupation for like a millennia or something, they've gotten good at it.
Ive been talking out of my ass this entire time. I just don't think it's relevant to compare fighting a limited war in a foreign country to the government fighting at home for it's very survival.
I guess it depends on what type of hypothetical rebellion we're talking about, like how many people are involved etc. If the entire country rose up against the government, sure. But I don't really see that happening.
It's quite relevant. A country can go all out when they don't have to clean up the mess. America can never use it's biggest and best weapons on it's own people. That's why the second amendment is still meaningful in the age of nuclear weapons. We can still fight the government with AKs and ARs.
Hah, seeing as your government does shit like operation Sea-Spray, i fully support these efforts.
