Can you explain to me where the "element of surprise" is when

    1. You already have ships in the area that do the exact same thing.
    2. You have literally fucking told people they are there.

We clearly need an "element of surprise" level.

e.g. Green = totally like whoa where the fuck did that come from?
Yellow = yeah you sneaky cunts I know you're out there... OMFG a fucking missile from D3, I wasn't expecting that
Red = Go on faggot, pull the trigger and see what fucking happens. That's right, look down - see that red dot on your crotch? Yeah, bitch, go on pull that trigger.

I guess you forgot what a submarine is, let me refresh your memory. Submarines are boats that can go under water and move around and stay down there for quite some time given that they are nuclear powered now. Unlike a missile frigate that can be spotted via line of sight or commercial maritime radar, submarine detection is a little not trickier.

North Korea is probably depending on outdated soviet era sonar on their ships. I'm also doubting they have anti-submarine air platform let alone good for detecting and destroying. So these vessels are going to be along the coast hidden; will they be on western coast and threaten the capital or will they be on the eastern coast and threaten known nuclear activity bases?

So yes surprise because they don't know when, where, and what will hit them from those subs.

Wow you are fucking retarded seriously

Attacking North Korea with cruise missiles is completely fucking pointless. I have seen $100M worth of Tomahawks in action. I wasn't impressed. It was more embarrassing than anything. Plus NK nuclear and other such installations are underground, a cruise missile couldn't even hit them.

Whats more, NK is not Syria, they would not respond with a complaint to the UN, they would respond by marching over a million men across the South Korean border.

I guess you forgot what common sense is

Well to be fair, you are from Bayswater, so it's not surprising that you're not impressed with that.

As far as a potential war in Korea is concerned it comes down to this: If the war is in North Korea then North Korea will win and if the war is in South Korea then North Korea will lose. North Korea has a tremendous amount of military assets and virtually no power projection.

That said, North Korea further entrenches itself each day. The sooner the war is, the more of an advantage anyone invading North Korea has.

Bradly Manning is not authorized to release any information whatsoever. Period. The Commander in Chief is -- no matter how counter-productive it is. Wasn't Trump saying that he wasn't going to tell ISIS when he's gonna hit them but then does this on the NK issue.

One, don't believe everything Wiki tells you. I'm not sure I would believe NAVY.com either on that matter either. I don't know for sure, but for a sub to be ICBM capable and NOT carry one or two hot shots well that wouldn't be practical in the military sense. The military just doesn't do that. Again I don't know for sure, but from what I witnessed in my short time in the military and dealing with ex-military, and ex-agents -- there are three truths --- The Truth the military tells itself, The Truth it tells the public (sometimes the same) and the real Truth.

Trump I'm guessing is evening the chessboard.

Kim, well we just don't know, right now this is defeating his real and primary reason for the saber rattling in the first place, to get economic and food aid. NK is a desperately starving country, in-spite of being well fed on hate.

They don't even need the element of surprise anyway, the Japanese Sea is 977,000 square kilometers, and north korean naval ships don't even have the range to go between the east and west coast. Hell, what would they even use to attack the subs anyway, rocks?

As for the nukes thing, I guarantee you at least one if not both of them has a nuclear payload. Just for fun, here's a map of what a single Trident 2 could do to North Korea. Keep in mind I know fuck all about where shit is in north korea, I just picked places that were either pyongyang or had a funny name.
