So I've been hearing on the radio about how there's an organ shortage in Australia. Not exactly new news. Or local, for that matter. The reason? Well, why would there be a shortage and a massive black market for something? Oh yeah, because it's illegal for you or your inheritants to sell your organs once you die. Apparently to prevent some moral outrage or another. Yet there's a massive black market for it, where people from the third world are being butchered in order to supply the demand in the first world. Yet people are still dying and suffering needlessly because even the massive influx of those black market organs hasn't reduced the price none! Thanks, government! Anyway, this thread isn't about the stupidity of government and its clueless bitches. Instead, I just wanted to say that if people want my organs then I want my family to receive compensation for it. Why would I help others if I knew my family would suffer? Out of the goodness of my heart? Fuck off. You don't give a shit about my family and just because you've been reduced to begging doesn't mean you're any more empathetic of my family's plight. If you really want to find an organ for your loved one then petition they government to legalise the buying and selling of organs. I suppose you could always appeal to the goodness in my heart, or at least pry it from my chest cavity. Until then, my organs will rot with me.
