What happened to dubstep? It sounds like it was made on a phone.

The plural of "kid" is "kids".
And I bet I'm at least 5 years older than you! :squid:

Fixed. If you're really almost 30 and think dubstep has any musical worth as a genre, there is no hope.

Psychedelic Rock, Hard Rock, Progressive Rock, Metal, some classical music and I tend to enjoy blues and funk too.

But what about Psychedelic Rock? Any Grateful Dead perhaps?
    I love The Dead.

If you can't even appreciate stuff like Black Sabbath, then I don't know what to tell you. Fact is that Metal has been around and has had a large dedicated fanbase since the 70's, while dubstep is a fad that'll be dead or dying in a year or two if not sooner.

The idea that metal has somehow more worth because it's been around more is silly. What about African tribal music? Then that has to have the most worth.
Also, metal today is not like the metal 1970, it's evolving. The most popular metal bands today are among the most pathetic things humankind has ever produced (System of a Down, Korn, and stuff like that. Let's not forget Black Metal clowns like Dimmu Borgir,) Electronic metal has been around since Kraftwerk and there's nothing inherently inferior in Dubstep. It's fun music.

I wouldn't call any of those bands Metal. Korn and System of a Down always struck me more as Alternative/Hard Rock. That second video you put up is truly terrible, I have no other way to describe it.

Go back to listen to Pink Floyd's The Wall and feel incredibly intellectual because it builds on the Greek Sisyphus myth while I enjoy my stupid Dub beats. :nyan2:
