Is sculpting the best of all fine arts? I know there has been a long and tough debate within this community about whether or not sculptors are the best artists ever, or if it is those niggardly painters that deserve that title. I think it is reserved for us sculptors.

Speaking as a sculptor, YES - sculpting is the best art form, and I am sick and tired of this on-going debate here on EDF2. For years those uppity painter fags, backed by their hired mercenary interpretive dance crew, and e-tablet renegades have reigned supreme over these hallowed gallery halls.

Sculpting is the best because there are no velvet ropes - you can touch the work, the materials are often timeless and withstand the years like an umbrella withstands the falling rain, and sculptures have adorned the faces and bodies of old Pharaohs and conquerors alike, paintings have only languished in some dusky baroque hall (the hall itself being a sculpture.) We live in houses, which some may argue construe as sculpture. We kill with swords and guns, which are functional art forms. We cover our shamefully nude bodies with sculptures spun of fabrics and fancy silks. We put casts of dongs into our lover's bums.

Sculptures are those ideas and dreams we have floating, untouched, inside our heads... make real and tangible; more-so than paintings that can only depict what's in our heads but not bring it into being.

I hope this ends the years-long debate among the artfags here on EDF.

    SCULPTURES FTW LOL! :D
