Do you like wendyvainity? I've been a big fan ever since the release of her first video, simple jazz animated gif tute. Before that, I really didn't understand any of her work. Too artsy, too intellectual. It was on sad toy cats.wmv where wendyvainity's presence became more apparent. It's an epic meditation on intangibility. At the same time, it deepens and enriches the meaning of the preceding videos. Listen to the brilliant digital meowing . You can practically hear every nuance of every meow.

In terms of lyrical craftsmanship, the sheer songwriting, this video hits a new peak of professionalism. This video invokes a feeling of despair and despondence. The cats realize that their time in this "simulation," if you will, is so short and dear. They want to enjoy their time with each other, running through grass and pawing at the water like most normal cats, but simply cannot find any semblance of happiness or normalcy.

What's left is a seemingly peaceful serenity; a quiet acceptance of their terrible fate: a life doomed to end prematurely. The realism found in this art is amazing.
