So that's your thing now?
3 from the same rig:
And the last one is a real vintage Singer:
I'd ask if the compulsion to act like an asshole is your thing now
But that's old news in fact, so I think I'll pass...
I don't really understand the point of steampunk if all of the gears and things don't even DO anything.
if they were constructed to actually be integral to the device's function, then I'd think it's cool, since they're not, it's just tacky stick-on stuff
Dunno why, but all these things disturb me
Do you really think that everything in e.g. a sport car is just functional and only that?
Man, even fighter aircrafts are designed taking in account the looks...
I don't care. I always thought that shit was cool.
I can appreciate it, but not my thing. Maybe the record player or the typewriter. i used to like singer sewing machines till all saints ruined it.
Did anyone else notice the kitty?
Absolutely wonderful, even saw a couple of pop references in there. I loved the collection. Especially the gears, so many gears! The machined nail studs, and the brassy color of everything else.
This stuff is creepy
And you need one of these too..
Anyways, @I_Cant has a point...when the mechanisms work, it's like ten times more awesome...
For example, in haute horlogerie (lol, just the words already sounds hipster...), as pointed out, all that little gears have a porpouse...although a 30$ Cassio is more precise than a 100K bucks tourbillon
But the drooling factor...
I have always hated steampunk... I don't know why.
Can't explain it even.
Love cyberpunk though...
I'm going to touch myself now.... bbl
I mean, I can appreciate aesthetics, but in my mind the true beauty in a machine is its workings, all of those gears and levers and drive chains and everything working in perfect harmony...
adding on too much non-functional stuff just dilutes it.
That guitar is going to sound like crap.
If it's loaded with EMGs or other active pickups then there's a chance it will sound decent, but yeah, if it's passive it will sound horrible.
Active pickups and especially EMG's sound like crap.
They'd still sound better than whatever's in that guitar, though. Granted I'd never use EMGs (both my basses are loaded with Nordstrands).
Let's fap a bit more, a small selection from the knives/swords folder:
This is good quality
That's some quality shit, girl
Love the visceral interaction of the gears, the precision of the craftmanship on the OP's. They are truly things of beauty.
Not so much on the swords, but that's just a personal thing. I can see how one could appreciate the craftsmanship in those as well.
Of course, these opinions are from someone who has a girl getting a golf ball in the arse in his sig
