People need to get over the fact that Nuclear Energy is a deadly liability. If the Europeans can't even keep their shit in good condition, do you think the corrupt fucks at PG&E or anywhere else in the United States keep their shit in good condition? The answer is no.

Wind, Solar, Thermal and Water should be the key sources of power.

For nuclear energy all I can say is

    Poor Animals.

Its not a big deal. Cascade reactions are kind of difficult to maintain. The most likely effect of breakage in a nuclear power plant is power shut down. It's also easy to design safeties that will kick in when malfunctions occur.

Example: Control rods that are suspended via electromagnets. When the power cuts out, the electromagnets shut off, and the control rods choke the reaction.

People need to stop being so paranoid, nuclear is the way to go.

Now I am all for experimenting with nuclear technology and nuclear powered submarines and eventually spaceships. However there are two problems with current nuclear technology:

    1) The process of getting uranium out of the ground to disposing of the waste is the single most polluting forms of energy period. It is worse for the environment than the first coal power plants that spewed mercury vapor into the air.

    2) The corporations that are in charge of the nuclear power plants in the US are fucking incompetent.

    Ahahah that's adorably naive.

When are you going to learn dr. rice. You're just young and going through that "waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah the government doesn't let me get my way all the time" phase. You really have no political agenda, and you're unintelligent.

Oh really? Prove to me that nuclear energy is less destructive for the environment than other forms of energy.

all these happening are going to further prevent Australia from introducing nuclear power, which is bad

but they should put the first one somewhere shit, like hobart or adelaide

Molten Salt Reactors are promising, however: 1) none of the new nuclear facilities in the world are those. The ones in the United States are based on 3 generation old technology. 2) Hemp and Sugarcane are overall better for the environment and the economy than the most expensive way to boil water.
