And then there are single player games that can be played online and the method the developers came up with in order to encourage multiplayer was tempting the gamer with bonuses that can be only accessed in that game mode (ie.: Might And Magic Heroes 6). I also don't understand why games nowadays have random generated items and/or skills that give few random bonuses. It was ok for hack 'n' slash games like Diablo, but the fact that they're putting this nonsense into other games is utterly irritating. It's a tedious job to compare each item you recieve with the hundred more you've already got and most players just ignore it to find out later that they missed a vital equipment and can't beat a specific part of the game.
