INB4 FLAME WAR
Good and evil are false concepts invented by insecure people to explain why the bigger guy stole their livestock and raped their wife
You mean smart guy.
No, I mean bigger guy
Which is why I edited it
Size matters little when you've got a gun. Or even a pitchfork.
There were no guns when this was invented
And in those days the bigger guy also had the bigger pitchfork
Back in those days if you stole something, all their cousins of the victim would come over to your home and beat the living shit out of you. If they don't kill you first.
Damn, I voted "No". I meant *Yes.
I am of course referring to empires and other such groups preying on the weak, not a single person, hope that helps
None of this makes what I originally said any less true anyway
I countered it, as I would have voted no but voted yes for you.
It's pointless even trying to answer such a bullshit, vague, pseudo-intellectual question.
It really does. But let's use your empire argument. History is riddled with instances of fiefdoms defeating much larger power bases. Indeed, all the famous empires we know of were once small fiefdoms struggling to survive.
Pseudo-intellectual? What is that, the word of the day?
Have people been stealing words from me again?
Entirely irrelevant to the original question and answer, namely, the existence of good and evil
It doesn't matter.
I don't know, I haven't seen anyone use it so far. It describes most of your threads pretty well though.
I don't believe in either. But, then again, I'm not retarded. Good and evil are for those who're are either too stupid or inarticulate to realise how the world works. Sometimes, in anger, (thus irrationality, thus idiocy) I call somebody or something "evil." It's also very superficial. If you commit evil for a good cause, are you good or evil? If you commit good for an evil cause, are you good or evil? Is selfishness always evil? Is altruism always good? Are institutions inherently good or evil? Are people inherently good or evil? Does good or evil exist without humans? Does good and evil exist in spite of humans? Ad infinitum.
I think stealing and rape are evil.
Whoops there i go taking the mainstream view of good and evil.
So theft and rape cannot be good under any circumstance? Are they universally evil? If so, who or what decided that they were universally evil? What if you steal something that was stolen from you? What if you rape somebody considered evil by most?
You're overthinking it.
Rape hurts people and can cause both physical and mental scarring that can last a lifetime. I'd like to hear your halfassed argument for how and why that could be a good thing. I am a bit mad, in case you can't pick that up from the text on the screen and what I'm saying. If somethign is stolen then that's another thing. Try justifying rape. I said try because you can't justify something that creates victims and destroys lives. You really can't, but by all means do try.
rape is ok, becuz it makes wimmin turn into guud slaves tht will help me in my plot to taek ovr teh world
I've noticed that not thinking is a prerequisition for believing in good and evil.
But, uh, let's pretend that there's a really "evil" person. And you need to break him because he's malignant. But he's a stubborn bastard and knows how to handle the system. So you hire a few homos to come to his house late one night and gang rape him. Suddenly he's more docile. Suddenly you've levelled the playing field.
That makes you, and the rapists evil. You've created more evil people.
So you believe a person who commits evil for a good cause is evil?
I've noticed that thinking about these sorts of ideas is a prerequisition for being a pretentious asshole.
If you commit evil, you are evil.
Meh. Thinkers gonna think, haters gonna hate.
So if you commit an evil act, you're evil for all eternity? Isn't that a bit extreme? Wouldn't condemning somebody forever for a single act be considered evil?
I guess I don't see the good of repaying evil with more evil.
