ok, so I figured here would be the best place to post this, a thread devoted to the discussion of unexplained phenomena and other mysterious shit. DYATLOV PASS The tent as found by investigators On the 2nd of february 1959 a group of ski hikers led by the titular Igor Dyatlov all died on a lonely mountain pass in the Ural mountains under rather mysterious circumstances. When search parties found the bodies, nearly a month later, their tent was found to be slashed open and the hikers ware scattered to the four winds all in varying states of undress, all had gone out with bare feet or only socks or wearing one shoe. an investigation found that most of the hikers had expired from hypothermia however a few of the bodies had some extremely odd injuries, one had a major skull fracture and two carried large chest fractures. Dr. Boris Vozrozhdenny noted the force required to cause these injuries would have been like the force of a car crash however there were no external wounds to the bodies. one of the chest fracture victims was also found to be missing her tongue. not data was ever released on the state of any of the victims internal organs and there were no signs of a struggle. Further tests on the hikers and their belongings and clothes revealed a high level of irradiation and Yury Kuntsevich (12 at the time, he later became head of the Dyatlov foundation) attended 5 of the hikers funerals and later recalled that their skin had a "deep brown tan".
