Looks like everybody has been playing forum games lately, so I wonder if people would be up to play Mafia as well. Some of you very likely have seen this in other forums, but I will try to make a brief explanation about the game's rules anyway: Some small town is being terrorized by a small mafia group, and each turn of the game labeled as 'day' the players vote someone to be lynched in an attempt of rid off the mafia members. In the turns labeled as 'night', the mafia members pick anyone of the players who is labeled as 'townpeople' to murder them. The game will go like this until either the townspeople kills the player who plays the Godfather role, or the mafia members are successful in killing every member of the townspeople group. Each player has their role secretly assigned, though the mafia members are aware of whom belong to their alignment. The roles include: Towsnpeople The Detective - The Detective can ask to the Narrator each player is an innocent or a Mafioso in the character alignment. They can only do that in one 'day' round per time. The Doctor - The Doctor can choose to protect anyone of the game during the 'night round from either of the attacks from the Mafioso or from other roles with the ability to visit the other players at night like the Mad Dientist or the Vigilante. They can only protect one player per 'night' round. The Coroner - Can tell to the other players about the alignment of the member who was lynched in the last round. The Mad Dientist - The Mad Dientist can 'mute' anyone by their choice by picking them during the 'night' round. Obviously, the victims of the Mad Scientist will be unable to say anything in their posts except muttering for the rest of the game. The Vigilante - The Vigilante can kill just one player during the 'night' round. The Crazy Veteran - The Crazy Veteran's only function is to blow themselves up when they receive a visit of anyone at night, which means they can be either the Mad Dientist, a Mafioso, the Detective, the Vigilante, the Prostitute or even the Doctor. The Town Idiot - The Town Idiot can only speak in gibberish, though they are able to vote for the lynchings if they want to. The Judge - The Judge has an additional vote in the lynchings, meaning that while the other characters's vote value one per person, the Judge's vote values by 2. The Lovers (Innocent) - This role is always paired with a Mafioso member. If any of the two is killed in a lynching, the other will have to die as well. The Prostitute - The Prostitute can block any of the characters who have functions to visit other characters during the 'night' turn by visiting them in the night turn. Those include the Detective, the Mafiosos, the Mad Dientist, and so on. The Miller - Appears as a "Mafioso" in the character alignment, mostly to fool the Detective. Mafia The Godfather - The death of this character determines when the game ends. Otherwise, if the Godfather and the other mafia members are succesful in killing everybody else of the game but the Lovers (Innocent) before the Godfather is lynched, the mafia group wins the game. The Godfather also appears as "Innocent" in the character alignment, mainly to fool the Detective so they cannot find out who is the Godfather easier. The Rookie Mafioso - The Rookie Mafioso has to say at least the word 'Mafia' in every post they make. They are also obligated to vote in every lynching. The Lovers (Mafioso) - Already explained with the Lovers (Innocent). Characters who have the function to visit other characters at night have to PM the Narrator which player they chose to visit or kill if you are a Mafioso or the Vigilante. Will try to do this as simple as possible.
