Wikipedia, imgur, and minecraft are still confirmed to go down Wednesday to protest PIPA.
Just earlier I read that it simply got shelved. Since it's out, we are definitely making progress. Now we can focus on the lesser of two evils.
The bill sponsor backed out and Obama said he'd veto it anyways. PIPA is now the new beast.
It might be a flawless victory for PIPA.
Reid is rushing the vote while many senators are saying they're backing off. Basically, he's being a typical old fart. Check out the PIPA thread I just made.
Veto is Obama's word for
"I'm going to say i won't sign or support it, but when they bring it to me and ask me to sign it i will sign it despite what i said earlier"
because he "threatened" to veto the NDAA bill, but he didn't think twice when it came to signing it.
NDAA is still going though?
As i remember it, the NDAA was passed signed and ratified.
and SOPA was probably the distraction.
because people today are mostly fucking idiots they would care more about SOPA stopping their shit tube asswhoring and their pirating of music movies and games than a bill that nullifies the bill of rights.
Outside of EDF2/somethingawful forums and Takimag i've not heard too much on NDAA.
that's just how real we keeps it
National Defense Authorization Act, the one Perpetually Aroused says is good for freedom.
