I wanted to partition my harddrive then install Windows XP but it turns out now I'm stuck with the Windows XP partition being the default boot. I tried making the Windows 7 partition my default boot but all I ended up doing was formatting it. Thankfully I had the foresight to save some of my shit on their. Anyway, does anybody know how I can make my Windows 7 partition my default boot?

    Thats your problem.

Old os's first ---> New os's last . Boot from the 7 did and run startup repair.

If I wanted the opinion of a Flem/Wend I'd stick my head in a drainage pipe and ask for it.

What? Well the Windows 7 partition is gone and my system recovery partition doesn't seem to be working correctly. I might have to rummage through my things to find the Windows 7 CD if they shipped it or download one if those that made this PC are the type of assholes that force you to make your own.

You should backup and format then just install 7. The best option is to just install mint linux and see how you like it

Install Linux Mint or Ubuntu to get the hang of it and then switch to Debian so you can build a computer that is really yours. Or go hardcore and get LinuxFromScratch.

What I did was destroy all partitions and install Windows 7 from a disc.
