Not directly, but through his own spiritual successor to Mega Man, a game called Mighty No 9 which is getting funded through Kickstarter. http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/mightyno9/mighty-no-9 The team is composed of former Mega Man devs and is an obvious reaction to Capcom's unfathomable stupidity in killing the Mega Man franchise. The game consists of knock offs of everything from Mega Man, from the characters to the structure of the game. Despite this, it looks great. The project goal is $900,000, but in a single day they've reached one third of that. The highest stretch goal is $2,500,000 reduced to $2,200,000 for a Wii U, 360 and PS3 release. Watch them reach it. Watch the fans demonstrate a collective "fuck you Capcom" just by donating. Keiji is a goddamn genius. Also, the highest backing reward is at $10,000. What do you get? Dinner with Keiji. Someone has already claimed it. Update: The game's Kickstarter campaign was a ludicrous success. It passed its $900k goal in the first couple of days and hit every stretch goal along the way, closing the fund raiser with over 4 million fucking dollars. Features will include new game plus, challenge mode, online coop challenge mode, alternate chiptune soundtrack, release on PC, Wii U, PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, Xbox One, PS Vita, 3DS, a making of documentary, and Capcom inevitably drowning in a sea of regret.
