I might be taking a Japanese class at a community college, just for lols. Trolling ideas, what not to do, etc...?
You are taking it so you can watch your precious Nippon animation in it's original language. Don't lie.
To be honest, half the time my eyes are glued to the subtitles at the bottom of the screen. Yeah...maybe you're right.
be extremely weeaboo, and always talk about robots and tentacle porn. carry at least 5 volumes of any manga in your bag, and say kawaii alot. eventually someone will get mad OR, if you dont want your ass kicked, just act like japanese isnt a language worth learning.
In that class, preach white supremacy and talk about how the tsunami is God's will on the decadent lifestyle of Japan.
We can exchange IM and have simple convos in Japanese if you want. Learn hiragana and katakana first then we can do it. Using romaji for anything learning is terribad.
I wouldn't worry about what not to do. Most of the people are there because of video games or anime, rarely for the culture or history. I've studied Japanese for about three years and I studied abroad in Japan in 2007. Though after that I soon graduated and lost touch with my classmates so I'm pretty rusty, but I'd like to converse with you in Japanese if you'd like to practice. =) And if your sensei is like mine, you'll have the romanji Japanese for Busy People book. If you have the option, get the katakana one instead. A few kids didn't know that and so they struggled with it when sensei made the rest of the class get the kana book in the second semester.
