Does EDF2 seem slow to anyone? I am getting much better load times on the wiki than I am on the forum. Anyone know of an online tool to check load times?

Ok I found a decent load processing tool. I am going to look into what is making the forum hang so badly and try to fix it. It could very well just be me though, I have a slow connection and I use like 20 browser extensions so that could be what is making it so slow for me. Let me know how EDF2 loads for you.

Ok so it looks like the forum is actually faster than the wiki. I guess it's just me.

Kind of slow for me, but I am usually running three or four different browsers with 4 or 5 tabs each.

Not really slow but heavy; for some reason EDF keeps eating my resources like a crack whore consumes its stash

    Image1.

Add the custom of opening 7-8 tabs of threads, and you'll have a nice slowdown.

    For comparison purposes

same, AVG keep telling all the time that the Firefox is consuming 250-450M
Same with Chrome, perhaps a little less

Hmmmm ok well now we are getting somewhere. I wonder if it has to do with a forum extension. I need to figure out a way to narrow down that information to find out exactly which process is causing the memory leak.

It might be, it is very recent; I'd say right after the server failure.
EDIT: CMM is right, it was before that; I guess I noticed it more after said date.

I made a few optimization to the loadbanacers... -- reducing worthless IO. Hopefully that'll speed things up a bit.

EDF doesn't like the term "slow." It prefers the term "special."

I switched back to Firefox after using Chrome or Chromium for about two years, and the slowness that I was experiencing when I created this thread stopped. I don't know if it was my extensions or if the Linux specific builds of Chrome just suck, but they were leaking memory just like Firefox use to when I first switched to Chrome. Firefox 8 is actually really good.
