Well, Ben, I actually couldn't bring myself to read the teacher's response; it was a little cringey. I will have to do it later. B+ tho, not bad. Also I assume the teacher points out that using autistic as an insult is bad because you are implying there is something insulting about autism-- which there is, everywhere but in public. You might have argued that it was NOT an insult, if the person is autistic. That seems to be the bush you are beating around, but fail to hit. Really it's more of a C+ B- at best. Of course, that is by public education standards, and by my own you would get a D for failing to hit the bush. it is right there, nigga. You, yourself, just come off autistic by failing to realize that the point should be addressed. Anticipate your audience-- that is the antipathy of autism. Maybe D-.
