I was escorting a friend while they were shopping for televisions. I came across a 3D flat screen with those 3D glasses. I think 3D TV is a stupid gimmick but I had never used it before. Avatar was playing and I had already seen it. Though I wanted to see what all the fuss was about. It was okay. Not great. Definitely not worth the four thousand dollar price tag. I only watched it for twenty minutes or so and immediately afterward I got a headache and my vision was weird.

But then something weird happened. That night my vision was better than it has been in years. And, I know this sounds crazy, but I think I might have had infravision. But any and all effects were lost by the next day. Roughly twenty hours after I watched it. I'm starting to doubt whether it actually happened and I haven't had the chance to test it out again. I want to know if anybody else here has had a similar experience.

Why don't you go to Wal*Mart (or whatever's in aussieland) and try it again?

    1) I don't want to mess up my sleeping schedule.
    2) I'm not certain which stores have them and the one I went to is too far away to make casual trips to.
    3) Not enough time in general.
    4) I think I've gotten a cold or the flu. Every bone in my body is starting to ache.

Do some research on it, find out if anyone else had the same experiences.

I used google to find this:

I'm not quite as intelligent as you or anyone else on this board, but I don't think that's how the brain works.

The brain is capable of rearranging itself and adapting. But my condition is purely optical. Whatever. If there isn't somebody else with similar experiences then I guess I must have imagined it or something.

Basically 3d tv will give you x-ray vision if you watch it for long enough. Also those rollercoaster simulators can make you turn invisible if you ride them 5 times in a row.

I can't handle 3D too well. The technology itself makes me feel like shit almost right after being exposed to it. When the 3DS came out and they had store displays set up with it for people to come and check out I decided to give it a go to see what the effect was like. Bad idea on my part. Had a headache for a good half an hour afterwards and felt off kilter for the rest of the afternoon.

No. It merely returned to normal. I think the headache is from eye strain due to how the 3d is implemented, once I was away from the source it gradually got better. The only effects I've ever experience were negative. Headache, nausea, and dizziness. I've never experienced any positive effects after being exposed.
