Jesus Christ, the cinematic on that game was well done. I love how they used silence physical gestures throughout. And the emotion. The fate of Joe and Henry got to me. I keep thinking about Henry's death, it was so well done. It sent a shock down my spine when I heard him screaming. And I felt unwell after watching him get butchered, even though I'm used to seeing so much worse. That speaks volumes about the cinematography. Some of the missions felt like they were rushed. The ending especially. It's still an awesome ending though I felt that bit before the end was a bit preachy. It makes me wonder whether the fate of the protagonist in Mafia 2 was worst than the protagonist in the original. All in all, it didn't feel like a game. It felt like a world I was a part of. It's too bad it didn't have a Free Ride Mode like the original. But I guess this really isn't a sandbox game as much as it's a story in game format.
