Despite being a fascist, I really like guys like Jon Huntsman and Gary Johnson, and I think as official ED Party policy, we should endorse Gary Johnson for 2012

I did some survey and it said I should vote for Gary Johnson.

Other than that, he seems like a pretty cool guy. Seems like a good alternative to being a /pol/ grade Paultard.

I was surprised no one liked Jon Huntsman, it isn't easy to get appointed as ambassador to China under two different presidencies (Bush and Obama). Jon Huntsman is easily more qualified than anyone who has been in the race so far, but New Hampshire is full of retards.

So instead we have Gary Johnson, who isn't bad at all.

Also the ED Party should support him in 2012, since we can't run anyone in 2012.

I voted for him in June, and I'll vote for him yet again in November.

Hate to burst your bubble, but a Libertarian candidate has never garnished more than 2% of the popular vote.

Another classic example of flawed libertarian populist thinking. Abolishing the IRS means abolishing a large part of the states income. Then you might say "but we don't need the state, if we lower the taxes, business will flourish and wealth is automatically going to be on the up". To them I say: look at the republic of ireland and draw some conclusions. A total economical meltdown is where a low tax regime is going to take you. It will undoubtedly boost the economy for a short period of time, say at maximum a decade, but after that, shit hits the fan. It's going to take years before the Irish economy recovers.

Also, ending wars means ending a huge part of the American economy as well. Just mentioning.

So a small victim of the global recession should serve as a glaring example to a completely different government? And aren't they recovering much faster than other because of their Krugman denounced austerity measures?

Not the first time I've heard this; but still just as disgusting. If you believe our troops should remain abroad because they are improving the conditions of world peace and national security; that is one thing. But if you think they are just digging holes to fill them back up again, THEN WHY THE FUCK SHOULD THEY DO IT HALF WAY AROUND THE WORLD WHERE THEY ARE GETTING SHOT AT AND BLOWN TO BITS?
