Can you actually think of any? Bringing up the old "Are games art?" argument again.
    I would say:
    Deus Ex
    ICO
    Silent Hill
    Bioshock

    Shadow of the Colossus dude.
I know so many people that claim that game is nothing but art. The atmosphere. The design. Just everything about it. So simplistic and yet so magnificent.
Not to mention it's a lot of fun killing 800 foot tall buildings.

I know about that one but I didn't mention because it was already part of the ICO series.

Well there's also Okami. All you do is draw in that game. You draw to attack and stuff... or at least I remember it being that way. I never played it.

Can you please not mix autistic and artistic? They are clearly different and to confuse one with the other is...
Oh shit you're the Leader of Anonymous.
Well then... carry on mein fuhrer.

I like the simple, creepy atmosphere of Limbo. Its wonderfully haunting yet simple and has an 'Out of this World' feel to it.

Btw, I thought 'out of this world' was artsy fartsy haha.

Maybe not so much the visuals, but everything else about Planescape: Torment had artistic value up to the chin.

Me too. All of those games seem that way though. "Abe's Oddesy?" hyped and pretentious.
    Here's one I like though

Heart of Darkness was a pretty cool game. It had a "Phantom Tollbooth" kind of feel

I get the feeling that game was the precursor to Limbo.

For an old 1998 game, it looked and sounded pretty good.

Mirror's Edge. You can take a snapshot in game and turn it into a wallpaper. (I've seen a few threads of this on /wg/ with spectacular results)
Cobalt. It's not released yet, however, it looks really nice graphics-wise in its style, plus music.

S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Series. It was rated as number one in atmosphere somewhere
imo I really like Metro 2033, and I think the artwork in the game is pretty good.

Why S.T.A.L.K.E.R. is such a good game. Such a good atmosphere, storyline, and soundtrack.

Metro 2033 to 28 Days Later's theme. I'm actually reading the book it's based off at the moment, and damn, it's probably one of the best books I've ever read.

And then you play it and every time you want to shoot something above you the camera jams itself up the wannabe-animu-monster's panties
    Good game otherwise

It was damn good all even if that genocide bit made me cry when I was 6. Also wasn't there supposed to be a remake in the works or something?

Just an FYI, if anyone here has a PS3, the Team ICO collection which includes SotC and Ico in HD will be coming out tomorrow (Sept 27)

My list would have to be Bit.Trip.Runner, Ico, SoTC, and the Uncharted series.

Uncharted had something going for it that made it impossible to look away when shit hit the fan and made it look so cool at the same time.

I'm too, and feel a little disapointed. I find it a bit convoluted, sometimes boring and also deusexmachina-ridden

Not bad, but not good either

For post apocalyptic novels, I very much prefer I'm legend, or World war Z, two great books

I actually finished it today, as I had to take a break from it to read The Catcher in the Rye for school.
Really good book, but the end kills me.
