The last boss was hard, but I had so much fun eating other animals with my down-syndrome animals.
Last boss is easy if you don't evolve into a human. Horn - evolve unevolve restores you to full health.
MMO of the year!
Great security and coding, Squeenix.
Final Fantasy has some of the best stupid ass merchandising ever
I've seen worse
But some of the dolls are pretty awesome.
I used to have a few of those dolls. Fuckin ebay.
This one was actually useful in a sad way
Shit, do want.
Square needs to get with the times. FFXV will never achieve any measure of success, unless they make it viking themed and get rid of all the silly names they're trying right now in favor of names like Sigwald and Wulfhelm Gustavsson.
They tried to go back to its roots with FF9, but we all know how that turned out.* A viking themed FF would be cool. Final Fantasy needs new settings besides Futuristic/Contemporary shit-holse and Medieval fantasy.
FF also needs more Typhon. There hasn't been a good monster design since 6.
*9 would have been great if the plot wasn't retarded with last minute shit, and it didn't drop characters like Ratley and Lani halfway though the game without even mentioning them.
I think nerds are having a bad time fapping to FF XIV-its hard to tell whether one character is male or female in that game
I knew Vs XIII was going to be XV the moment XIII got a sequel and Agito turned into Type-0, I stopped being excited knowing Nomura's track record...
Reservoir Dogs with a .
Nomura took the whole effeminate male thing to unacceptable levels. At least Amano was subtle about it, but then again he didn't have CG or voice acting to implement.
Fuck 14, I cancelled subscription. It's a fag gaem full of fags.
With each FF that is released it becomes harder and harder to tell the difference between sexes.
Final Fantasy is an example of a franchise that is ancient history and is trying to fit in modern day, the bad part is there's already many games that exceeded it in terms of gameplay, characters, story etc.
The only reason why the series is still on the brink of being alive and not dying is because there are many loyal fanboys to the series that will buy and like the game no matter what(seriously just look at the fucking praise final fantasy 13 got).
So Lighting Returns is some sort of consolation price for the people who bought a ps3 just for XIII VS?
Even worse is that the praise 13 got is not because it was a good game, it was because it was an improvement on 12. Which is true, 12 was the worst piece of shit they ever released. However, praising 13 because it is a more attractive piece of shit than 12 shows just how blind the remaining fans are.
Their sales are steady slipping with every new release as people become more and more disenchanted with the franchise and 15 will be no exception. Square Enix is slowly fading into obscurity and they completely did it to themselves despite having one of the most loyal fanbases in gaming history.
Yeah, other than the fanboys, interest in Final Fantasy is dying out. I think the main reason for this is that Square is now following the AAA game mantra of "too big to fail," and refuse to take any more creative risks. Old square used to make Final Fantasy games, along with other games such as Chrono Trigger and Legend of Mana made in tandem, now they rather make as many sequels to Final Fantasy XIII as they possibly can for a quick buck instead of making new IPs. They can burn for all I care.
Because that's what people are willing to buy.
It's like they've learned nothing from FFXI...or XIV.
Why do they have sports cars in a final fantasy game?
I don't even know anymore.
Cuz modern and edgy or some shit.
lol, I think Squeenix is even actively trying to bill this as "the modern fantasy" or some shit. Great marketing move there. The level of stupid just blows my mind. The fans have made their desires for a bit of a return to pre-FF7 days VERY clear. And what do they do?
Go in the exact opposite direction.
Maybe Square is trying to troll their fans by emphasizing the OMG OPEN WORLD aspect of this game as much as possible. It's almost like they're butthurt at how much fans bitched about FF13 being too linear and are now trying to rub it in.
"HAH TAKE THAT MOTHERFUCKERS.HERE'S YOUR FUCKING OPEN WORLD GAME!"
The fact they've eliminated turn based battles entirely was a red flag to me. They're paying zero attention to their fanbase and instead trying to reel in new players. It's gonna backfire on them.
Doing a battle system along the lines of FF13 would be nice. It worked well even with high res graphics, managed to be responsive and engaging, but still was rooted in turn based mechanics.
>More spin-offs. Taking the Capcom route I see.
I was kinda 50/50 on the XIII battle system. It felt like they were dumbing the turn based system down with the paradigms and the fact that you can only control one party member. They've been on that same path since XII, and every incarnation thereafter feels more and more like an MMO battle system.
All I want, and I know I'm not alone in this, is a classic no-frills turn based battle system with top tier graphics. The last game with that was X, and that was nearly 15 years ago.
I'm still going to buy XV (mostly out of habit) but I fear it's going to be far more enraging than I bargained for.
In terms of gameplay, I believe XIII-2 was a step in the right direction, completely butchered by Lightning Returns. FFXII IZJS had the best ATB gameplay, imo. Fortunately, XV seems like a variant of XII's battle system.
I remember when I used to want a Chrono Trigger remake or another sequel at all cost. Now I just hope they stay the fuck away from the franchise forever.
I thought the battle system was fairly fun. But, definitely dumbed down, any boss battle could be won with the same strategy. Ravager/Ravager/Commando till stagger paradigm>3 commando paradigm >All medic paradigm to heal up any damaged.
Understatement for sure.Every fan I've heard of has been screaming for this for the last decade.
I'd drop 400 on a ps4 in a heartbeat just to play FFXV if it looked halfway promising, but I did the same thing with FF13 and ended up quite dissapointed.
