    too little too late. had they just went bankrupt during the crash instead of getting bailed out by taxpayers, that pie chart would look very different right now.

    People are forced to spend their money recklessly because of the Federal Reserve. If these bankers just keep their money in their safes then they'll be losing money due to inflation created by the Federal Reserve. Not to mention the adverse effects of enforced/universal/set interest rates.

    What do these government subsidised/regulated/owned/backed banks have to do with capitalism? Or do you mean keep the government in check? Ha. Good luck with that.
