Favorite Terminal?

?

Which would you rather use?

  1. Exclusively Terminal/Command Line Interface (CLI). I don't even own a mouse!

  2. Graphical User Interface (GUI). I have no idea what this post is about, but I like to click things!

How many of you guys use a CLI (command line interface)? What is your favorite terminal emulator? Do you use the GNOME terminal or a 3rd party one? I have been experimenting with using XTERM because it looks old and crappy like me, only problem I have found with it is alt+number doesn't work to change channels in IRSSI so I don't think I will be keeping it. The GNOME terminal is pretty nice.

@zaiger Windows 7, try it sometime, its far superior to your silly Linux, which is basically ripoff of apple operating systems.

I have nothing against Windows. Windows 7 is installed on my main partition. Linux runs better on my laptop though so I use it most of the time lately. I am on my Windows boot right now and my laptop it struggling, and that is with aero, page file and hibernation turned off. I haven't reinstalled Windows in about a year though so that might be the problem. I am sure with a fresh install it would run a lot better.

No its enterprise with all the bloat like windows dvd maker removed nothing bar media player/ie is left although you can either slipstream just about anything not present in the inital install into the iso or into the os through the slic command (waik dvd needed)

Something being a netbook is no reason to still run 32bit. Stuff gets upgraded, 64k isn't enough for everyone.

There are plenty of netbooks running 64bit processors. AMD E and C series and even Intel Core processors.

rxvt unicode is the best terminal I've tried so far.
Konsole + yakuake works if you want to feel like you're playing an fps all the time, but they're way too bloated.

I'm downloading rxvt-unicode from synaptic right now. I also kind of like guake, but it seems like more of a novelty than a functional terminal for me so I don't use it very often.
