I thought it was a really informative movie. Whoever wrote the ED page either didn't watch the movie or is too stupid to get the point of the movie.

    I recommend watching this movie.

I didn't like it. Not because I didn't agree with it, it was just a mediocre film.

The basis of the film is that the Evolutionist's theories on the origins of life are incorrect. The ID scientists (who you find out aren't bible thumpers) are merely disagreeing with the Evolutionist's theories on the origins of life being that we didn't arise from crystals. That the nature of cells is too complex to have arising from such. They cite that DNA and the replication process of creating additional DNA is too complex and code like to have naturally occurred in a natural process. Also Dawkins admits in the film that there might be a creator (just not the biblical one).

While I am an occultist, if evolution can only explain the process in which life forms, then it is in my opinion that magnetism has to do with creating the organization of cellular systems. This would mean that magnetism not only is necessary to protect sentient life to evolve (because there is no way sentient life could evolve without the protection of Earth's magnetic field), but is also necessary for even life to arise in the first place.

While the following WAS NOT mentioned or implied in the film, it made me think of the following:

What if Nazis were an inevitability of evolution? Consider this, within every species certain individuals gain aspects that are more favorable that make them more likely to survive, reproduce, and spread their genetics. Since humanity is still very young, we don't know how evolution reacts with a sentient species.

Let us consider the facts. If the Nazis did win, they would have created something different than what we call humans today. They would have forced humans to evolve into the next or higher stage. My evidence for this would simply be looking at the history of other sentient species and seeing if a group like the Nazis ever existed. I suspect that this will be the case in other sentient species.

Also in a universe that is 14 billion years old (possibly much older), that the chances are nearly zero that something greater than what we call humanity (and the limitations it implies) has evolved.

This however is up in the air if it is good or bad. It could be good because we proved as a species that we aren't willing to do something evil despite it is part of natural law. However, it could be bad because the aliens could come here and be like "Why didn't you guys go with the Nazi plan?"

Stein pulled a bait and switch on the evolutionary biologists. They only agreed to be in the film and gave their responses under the impression that it was to give equal time to both sides. I think the working title was called "Crossroads". And if you applied any sort of skepticism to Stein's claims; you would find that the ID scientists did more than just disagree. The committed ethical violations like academic fraud.

So you are telling me that in a universe that is over 14 billion years old, that humanity is the final stage of evolution? I find that impossible to believe.

There are no stages to evolution. Natural processes work to mold life toward survival. Why do you think there are so many asspies and autistics running around these days?

How does anyone claim to know that? The farthest our species has gotten is to the moon and there are people who claim that nothing is higher or more evolved? Do any of you realize how long 14 billion years is?

Yes an infinite number of them. There is no reason that the process of evolution wouldn't exist on other planets.

there aren't levels, we aren't climbing a ladder or moving towards a final goal, you can't measure an amount of evolution to say this is more or less evolved than that

random mutitions happen, the shit that work sticks around, that's all evolution is
