That jew merchant was a bluffing pussy
fuck that, my gnome dropped out and had a degree forged in the first place
I mean, you don't need to graduate magic college to burn an entire town to the ground for the giggles; the problem comes when they start getting real creative about how they do it. Seeing as how there's this "jew merchant", I expect something to be burning rather quickly.
Interesting points, you seem to like well organized and prepared games, that's more than understandable, good game session may take more than a few hours, from time to time.. and it would be a shame to waste time, especially with bullshit around combat, that's another thing, to have to sort of shit sorted out beforehand, the game should be dynamic and the long pauses are usually killing the mood or they may be a rooting ground for joking about(more than it's bearable) and various off-topic shit. One thing i'd add is maybe not relying on the 25+ level builds too much, games rarely reach those heights and it really depends on the game/setting if those crappy classes are even applicable in the game world(if they make practical sense in that world), i'd suggest just picking a class and going with it and seeing where it gets you, all the while rp the shit outta that ch..
It may or may not be well organized, depending on the players. It's always good to have some stuff prepared, but it's also vital to improvise when players inevitably shit all over your plans. I've heard from many people that the game comes apart at the seams, whatever that means, when using godlike character levels.
It means that the sheer amount of shit to keep track of becomes unwieldy at high levels. GM's are going to have a hard time designing challenging encounters as the spellcasters gain more versatility. And once clerics can start raising dead players on the spot, death itself approaches DBZ levels of inconsequentiality.
From what I'm told, a level 25 wizard nullifies damn near any problem but a Tarrasque.
is this conversation seriously happening
Can I join? I'm an experienced DnD player. But might I recommend using Pathfinder rather than DnD 3.5e? Pathfinder is a revised version of DnD 3.5e that balances out classes and gameplay. A much more polished and fun to play version, basically, but maintains the same rules.
That's the SRD. The publishers are a lot less butthurt about copyright too.
Use it or not, I'm in. Dwarf Barbarian or Ranger if it's cool.
can i come in too?
It may be a bit more balanced, but caster supremacy isn't lessened. I will say it has a shitload of splats, even one for managing kingdoms.
I've never used any of the products, however. Paizo employs too many trannies and it bleeds into the game. An iconic character is a transsexual fucking dwarf, for Christ's sake.
It's not like you have to use Paizo's setting. Their improvements over Wizard's product are great. But the call is not mine to make.
If I ask to use a few things from Paizo for my character (such as Barbarians rage powers from the Pathfinder corebook) would that be cool?
no, that's cheating
It's a barbarian. Doesn't matter what martials do.
what a pile of shit
What do you care? It's all the same to you, just another bunch of nerds to brutally sodomize.
Count me in!

The sad part is that 3.5 actually allows precisely that and has detailed rules for it.
That's what they always say at first...
I'm not sure either, but they may be referring to a variety of hazards.. like the overwhelming numbers of abilities and skills, 3.5 and higher systems are well thought and intuitive, even the blank character sheets are nicely designed, yet even with all the simplifying, it can still be a mess, DM who can recollect everything that happened in such progressed game is a heaven-sent. I'll try to give an example, like when you're a level 20-something character and you are going thru your inventory and there's that thing(it's typically some sort of key) that you have found earlier in the game, and absolutely no one, not even the DM, can tell you what's it supposed to do, or where is it from, and if you are ever going to need it. Just.. stuff like this. Or maybe they are referring to some irl problems, if such game is really long winded, like a year or more, that can be also cause an issue. I have personally DM'd a game over 5 years, and we have never finished playing it, cause our dwarf fighter broke up with our elven cleric irl.
Agreed, just one level in monk class can make wonders!
A power gamed barbarian can tear up mountains if done right.
Most definitely, i haven't played one in long time, but i remember it being a bunch of fun! Frenzied Berserker is a great prestige to class to greatly compliment these beautiful characters.
Did somebody mention sodomize?
I read that as DnB
Well if you guys want we can try again this Sunday but Radha won't be joining I think.
@Likeicare you can drop the kool boy act. You can join too if you want.
i actually dont understand a single thing in this thread
