when I access an article, firefox's Memory usage starts continuously climbing and doesn't stop, for the first few minutes it's fine, but after it gets over 1.5gigs or so it starts to cause some serious lag and eventually crashes. what the hell is going on? I also notice that the page keeps showing the loading circle. changing the article I'm on makes firefox drop back down to only half a gig

    srsly, wut?

    FF version is 10.0

this was NOT happening yesterday, or even earlier today.

maybe it has something to do with the new ads... Imma try reactivating adblock

reactivating adblock didn't help. page is still constantly loading something and the memory usage is still gradually climbing.

ok, I'll try going back and see if it helps.

damn, it'd be nice if Mozilla let one have multiple versions installed at once

just switched back to 9, RAM usage started substantially lower, but it's spiraling out of control again, the wiki page is still continuously loading something. I don't recall it doing that before.

was the code on the pages changed recently? did someone plant something malicious into any of the templates?

imma check to see if other wikis are giving the same results.

There is nothing else loading. It has to be one of your addons then.

ok, I'll try disabling some of them. the articles I tried had a lot of videos on them, so I wouldn't be surprised if downloadhelper or something was acting up as a result

I disabled everything except adblock, chatzilla, tineye, lulzimg, and dA's chat helper. (all of which I've had for at least 6 months) it's still happening, just slower this time.

didn't happen on other wikis. (wikipedia, wiiflowiki, or another one) and the wiki still has the loading spiral appear on its tab at regular intervals.

I don't know what to make of this. especially if it's only happening to me. it's not happening on the main page, but seems to be present on all others.

Your gay addons are all available from chrome as as well. It seems to me that FF on Windows has a memory leak problem like it has for the past 10 years.

A sysadmin who only knows Windows calling other people computer illiterate could be seen as rather ironic.

Define illiterate. Plus, I loathe hipsters, the add-0ns are there because I love music, love the theme, and love having add ons that make my life easier.

Firefox is the crappiest browser for any system and you know it

as a matter of fact, Failfox has some of the lowest ratings/reviews on Android market. thats how much Failfox sucks.

yeah then mozilla turned it into decaying horse shit. they think that releasing a new version every 3 months or so will make the browser better, but in reality it breaks some add-ons and extensions.

I don't think it's that, I just think Chrome set the bar really high.
