Why don't parents even lift their fingers to call a fucking locksmith and install a lock on the food closet if they don't want to spend energy themselves?

At least It'll teach those kids to eat healthy for gods sake. I mean, every ad is embroided into a child's head once he sees it.

While I don't question it's their right to promote a healthy food supporting image, what makes them think they'll make a difference in the long run?

Advertisement to children, much like for adults, comes from different sources. Just because Disney is enforcing this does not mean all the other possible places children will see ads for sugary, unhealthy food will disappear, and you can no more impose this on anyone and expect it to totally stick than you can expect world peace to happen by snapping your fingers.

The critical flaw in the above is that Disney seems to think it's setting a milestone that will unilaterally turn obesity around.

@Disney: You won't. Ultimately, it's up to parents to agree with you and children to comply, not to mention every other source of ads they see following your lead to make what you're doing matter a damn in long run.

This will do a lot of good considering during commercial breaks they will still see happymeals.

An utterly worthless assumption. Once again, Disney like all others, feels that if they say or do something somebody else will do it, and vice versa. In the long run people will always do whatever the fuck they want.
