I'm putting this here, because as faggots you guys never leave the Hard Gay Chats.

Everything else in the other categories of threads get next to no attention at all.

so anyway, i watched Arthur today and found the production date was around 2007 which confirmed my suspicions, the episode featured a guest appearance of Lance Armstrong and the term (Free Wifi) which was not around in the 90's

so it turns out when i look at the Shows wikipedia article, it has been running for nearly 15 years till present and is still going, this shit is like nearly as old as it's first time viewers from when it started.

    furthermore,

"The show is set in the fictional American city of Elwood City, and revolves around the lives of 8-year-old Arthur Read, an anthropomorphic aardvark,[1] his friends and family, and their daily interactions with each other. There is a strong emphasis on the educational value of books and libraries as well as relationships with friends and family members. The series is often noted for dealing with social and health-related issues that affect young children, such as the death of a pet,[2] dyslexia,[3] and more recently cancer,[4] Asperger syndrome[5] and Alzheimer's disease."

ASPERGERS SYNDROME? "Oh Brother!" I think of Arthur as a timeless classic TV series that had that nice warm messy but colourful comic book look and was a great show for it's time and should have had an end at some point.

I don't like when timeless Cartoons get redone to be more temporary..
like the Simpsons, used to be Timeless episodes now most of it is cheap and unfunny references or jokes about modern popular movies or political issues.
    Gaay.

Anyway your thoughts Hard Gay Chatter faggots?
got any favorite old cartoons that maybe should have gotten the axe a long time ago?

I love Beavis & Butt-Head, it should have never gotten revived, since the old one was better.

Edit: "Arthur" and all other kids' TV shows should leave assburgers out, it's not a real mental illness or learning disability like bipolar, schizophrenia, PTSD and Down's Syndrome are...

It's still just as real as "Arthur" is. Just because it's in the DSM doesn't mean it's a legitimate disorder. In the case of assburgers, it is a hypothesis created 70 years ago by a doctor, used by school districts and HMOs to label kids who are loners or are otherwise socially awkward with a permanent stigma and to get them moar jewgoldz from the government. It was put into the DSM at the behest of drug companies, school-employee unions and healthcare-worker unions. It is NOT a real disorder.

The assburgers idea WAS supported by the unions and Big Pharma.

I can see Alzheimer's and cancer being realistic concerns for an educational TV show tho...

I've seen a couple of episodes online, i get the humor.
but if they have modernized it, then fuck it.
The thing with Asperger's is to acknowledge it but not over emphasize on it, and above all, don't give the kids who have it the impression that they are inherently better or smarter by default.

You are probably right there... I do admit that the unions, accrediting groups, HMOs and school districts have been pushing for more diagnoses just to make money and more jobs for shrinks, but they should not let asspies get any more USI than they already have.

Albert Einstein, as much as the asspie crowd reveres him, was an isolated example of a truly smart asspie. He was Jewish too. Hardly any others are actually anything more than dumb as rocks and roughly equal to if not inferior to normal folks, with epic failures like Chris-Chan and DrMusic2 fitting into the eugenics candidate category.

High-functioning autistic is an oxymoron... aside from the obviously malfunctioning like Dr. Music and Chris-Chan, no one with that diagnosis is actually functional as an actual person. They are all a burden on society to some extent, with some more of a burden than others.

Like i said, it is a real thing, but expect it to be exploited and plundered for all it's worth.
it's also popular as a way for people who are lazy to get out of working, and it's chic because you have "more intelligence" than everyone else.

One thing that i don't get with my diagnosis is that i have things that are uncharacteristic of Aspergers syndrome.
Mainly things like, Self consciousness and being embarassed, not being too talkative, and also empathetic and sympathetic.
try applying those traits to some famous internet asspies, and you will see what i am talking about.
I am strange even for someone with it, i do have the intelligence factor, the PROBLEM is, what do i do with this intelligence? definitely gotta be something more productive i can do besides post on EDF too often.

What's funny is, i don't ever want to goto college, i am perfectly fine and happy with doing simple laid back jobs, i am happy to work casually and enjoy it and work my way forward from there.
because after all YOU HAVE TO GOTO COLLEGE MAAAAN OTHERWISE LIKE, YOU WON'T GET A GOOD JOB AND YOU WILL BE POOR.
I guess that's why most college graduates end up WORSE OFF than somebody who left highschool and started work digging holes for 2 years.

I used to pretty much have a fantasy mind when i was younger, i liked imagining participating in my favorite Cartoons Movies or even Videogames.
But i outgrew it, and i never wrote gay ass fanfiction about it either.
I mean sure, it would be nice to be a Hyena living in the Serengeti and being friends with the Trio from TLK but then again, starvation hot sun, you get the idea.
my point is, you cannot live in fantasy worlds, no you are not enrolled in Hogwarts i know you really wish you could goto such a place as a kid reading Harry Potter, but if you don't get over it before you get too old, YOU'RE FUCKED because you won't go out and get a life and live it, only waste it.

Agreed on the mention of college grads being worse off, and the myth about needing an education to work... around here, almost all the college grads are working in restaurants, grocery stores, Wal-Marts and gas stations instead of what they wasted 2 to 4 years, sometimes more, on, and people like me who barely got their GED, worked in manual-labor jobs (such as my farmhand and metal recycler experience) like me are actually doing fairly well. I do well enough hauling metal and doing seasonal temp gigs to afford a 1-bedroom attic apartment, a high-end computer and 2 vehicles, whereas the college grads are riding bicycles or the bus, living in trailers and sleazy motels, and either flipping burgers, bagging groceries, ringing up gas and junk food, or saying "Welcome to Wal-Mart!" a zillion times a day.

I'm glad you at least have insight into your diagnosis, even though we disagree on its veracity, and that you have broken through the retard stage that so many haven't grown out of.

I was never slow, i just had learning difficulties because of my different way of thinking, i often got annoyed at Classes where painfully obvious and basic facts where slowly being talked through, because Everybody else KNEW NOTHING because all they cared about knowing anything about was Brad and Angelina, Textsms and the latest season of the OC and last nights Simpsons.

I really hate how thanks to Wikipedia we have those same morons pretending to be intellectuals who quote WORD FOR WORD information on Wikipedia, but like a Parrot that is trained to recite Poetry, they do not actually understand a fucking word they said, and their intellect can easily be banged into a wall at it's limits by asking follow up questions.
I had a childish stage but i outgrew it.
Problem i have now is making friends now days, nobody socializes the old fashioned way anymore, basically everybody else is socially awkward and incapable or making acquintances with strangers who have basic things in common.

    Onto the college thing.
Hahah, yeah, Bus and Bike, and always stressing about the money, and then protesting at OWS thing is, if they didn't choose SHIT subjects to study, they might actually be better off.
truth is, people who goto college are just afraid of a little hard work, they are lazy, and they probably know what awaits them once they finish, but they have that stupid daydream fantasy that they will get employed as a serious liberal artist that will be at art galleries or a big name music star!
    but it never works out.

College is just the lazy bastard getting a loan that will leave them destitute for the next decade or so, just to live it up in the now by going to college and having 4 more years of fucking around and pretending to look busy.
it's basically an expensive day care center as Professor Farnsworth on Futurama said and goes nowhere.

I was in special-ed for a couple years due to what's now called conduct disorder... I had a similar experience, although it was people like Michael J. Fox, Nicole Kidman, Patrick Swayze and Kelly LeBrock, Valley Girl lingo, Full House and Family Matters at that time (late 80s/early 90s), that were a big deal, and there weren't any painstakingly memorized Wikipedia regurgitations then either. I have a few IRL friends, but do great socializing over the internet, and have met a couple internet friends IRL over burgers or pizza and beer at a bar... I have thought about going to junior college to study metalwork, basically stuff that could be used in a job, but could also be used for art or making knives & swords on the side, but the structure, tuition, loans and homework would kill me.

Agreed on the subject of college. A lot of them are libtards who are too chicken to get their hands dirty and break a sweat or do another type of basic job, or even deal cards in a casino, are into the OWS protests and similar shit, and will be fucking their lives over for 10 years or more and not knowing it...

(FTR, I am a moderate politically, despite my views on racial relations and labor)

Getting a good job means you have to get a trade, to be paid properly, be a producer.
a trade is a producing job, no matter what happens, even if society breaks down completely and there is no economy, if you can build things with wood, work metal, fix electronics, grow food, cook or fix cars, you will have the most valuable skills and will get the premium goods offered for barter in exchange for your services.

people like Jesse Jackson and Seth Macfarlane will be utterly worthless pieces of shit in a situation like that (because they are)
Although to be fair, Seth would be able to still entertain people which would count for something, Jesse Jackson a lawyer a parasite of society, would just be in the gutter, because without a society to piggy back on, they have no business and hence no money comes in.

That is completely true... I am pretty good with engines, welding and electrical stuff as it is and would do a good job slinging hash in a post-society-collapse situation (I imagine it would look a lot like an Occupy campsite, but with more shacks made of wood, tin or fiberglass sheets and tarps than tents) for hungry folks... I could probably even distill grain alcohol to use as a fuel or solvent, do a little emergency medical stuff, improvise firearm repairs, and make beer & wine, since I read a lot about almost everything like that & absorb it well...

Jesse Jackson and his ilk are useless, and not because they are black either (in all honesty, I am not white, so I am not really one to spout racist oaths, even though it's funny and part of the EDF culture in a way), but Seth could at least be fed and housed just for being funny...

I wanted to do it last year i was looking into it, but i might in the future start up my own small metal forge at home, no permits needed, and you can find plenty of metals that melt at low heats.
i know how to ferment alcohol the trick is distilling it, but i want to try getting my own biogas farm started, organic vegetable matter breaks down, and the microbes produce naturally occurring combustible gas, which can be collected and used as a fuel source, also you can make your own biodiesel too.

Concerning aspies and whether or not they're geniuses, let me explain it to you guys. I've actually met aspies before. I've actually been friends with one. They're not smart. They're obsessive. They'll take a specific subject and study the hell out of it. I'm not talking about everyday obsession which we all have. I'm talking about memorizing every line of code in a videogame. It wouldn't surprise me if most of the guides on GameFAQs were written by aspies. Einstein is a prime example of this. His chosen field was mathmatics. He wasn't a genius, he was just really obsessive over mathematics and studied it like a motherfucker. If you take any of his opinions on almost anything else, you'd realise he was a pretty dense motherfucker.

A genius, a true genius, has to be a Renaissance Man. Otherwise, he's just some guy who's spent his life fussing over a specific subject. And anybody can do that.

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_polymaths < A list of potential geniuses.

I guess i could be considered a renaissance man but i am not a professional stuffy one, i just mean that as in i can study the shit out of multiple subjects, have multiple interests that i read allot about, it's fun.
And GameFAQ's lol they are all Assburgers who play and obsess over videogames all day.

"Everyday when i'm walkin down the street! i mow down everybody that i meet! and make the killings an above average quantity! and i say HEY! (hey!) You mothafucka's want to play? You keep saying that i'm gay? well then i got sum news for you bitch! every shots a messy! and it goes through the heart! and you bleedin yourself out! and that's just the start! and i say! HEY! (hey!) what a wonderful way to die! to learn to shoot and kill! it's a really great skill! and nobody wants the bill!"

That sounds like a cool thing to do... all three, metal forging, biogas and alcohol production... I have books on biodiesel production too. Oddly enough, the only fiction books here are a handful of Clive Cussler, Stephen King and Tim Dorsey books in the bottom of my nightstand, all the others are DIY and anarchist books...
