They profiled the ladies from Girls With Slingshots and Hark! A Vagrant, which I liked, and the guys from Penny Arcade, which I have always been rather meh about but they have been a marketing success in the vein of Jim Davis.

This works as fantastic motivational speech for all budding artists:

Show that to a typical dA kid and it'll cry and threaten to quit art.
Show it to a tumblrite and it'll be triggered and scream oppression.

This is a good tool for creating digital gamut masks:

    http://www.livepaintinglessons.com/gamutmask.php

What I noticed is that in firefox, the screencapture tool wouldn't be work on it, but in google chrome, the tool Awesome Screenshot does, fortunately.

It might be useful for animators, but also for simple poses, for shiled wielding.

Haven't had the time to check out the links individually, but 8chan's /loomis/ board recently put together a hub for art resources:

Came across this article and it is not half bad, despite citing Extra Credits and Reddit. It's more game dev oriented, but it should have useful things for both artists and 3D modelers.

    http://gamasutra.com/blogs/NathanLo...ee_Learning_Resources_for_Game_Developers.php

If you're too lazy to follow the link, I'll just post the highlights below. Some have been posted before in this thread, so I'm only listing the ones I don't recognize.

http://noexcuselist.com/ Very useful directory, has art links as well as other links to guides for DIY, skills and hobbies.

http://sevencamels.blogspot.fr/ Disney storyboard artist Mark Kennedy's blog. Good for studying visual storytelling.

    http://www.2dgameartguru.com/
    https://www.youtube.com/c/Gdquest
Stuff related to making game assets.

http://simonschreibt.de/game-art-tricks/ This one is pretty cool, it gives you technical analyses on tricks game developers used for their in-game graphics. It may vary how useful their ultimate utility are, but I recommend this for people looking at how devs handle real-time graphics these days. Plus, Polycount links.

Let's put a website that's ACTUALLY worth looking into.

    http://drawabox.com/

It's made by a dude who was at Concept Design Academy in Pasadena and is currently a concept artist, so it has some legitimacy behind it. Aimed towards concept art and production design, predictably.

If anybody is either too cheap or too broke to afford Photoshop, I recommend using ArtWeaver, which is free. http://www.artweaver.de/en
Has your layers, brushes, blending modes, etc.
I made this pic using ArtWeaver:

It's not fantastic but it works.

I'm terrible at body language but I can barely find any useful art related tutorials, guides or such about it.

Does anyone here have anything that might help?

There's a body language for dummies book.
You could also go have a nice walk around a well populated area and observe people interacting with eachother.

I observe and sketch people every now and then but my problem with this is that I don't recognize expressions and such too well. But books will definitely help me a ton with recognizing/reading and drawing more varied body language.
Seems like the local library should have that one, thanks for suggesting it.
