Ilah means god. Allah is a specific god. The issue here is that Christians use the same word for their God as they do for deity. Muslims don't do that. They have one word for their deity and another for all other deities. It's an attempt to unify incredibly diverse Abrahamic religions. For instance, another is the phrase Judeo-Christian values, even though Christians and Jews have no values in common. The laws of the Jews pertain to how they should treat each other whereas the laws of Christians is how they should treat everyone. The behaviour of Jews towards non-Jews, as well as the behaviour of Muslims towards non-Muslims, is completely predatory. These are classic examples of those of limited mind thinking that everyone is like them or thinks like them. Both like their personal selves and like their group. The evidence of this falsehood is in the end results. It's better being a non-Christian in a Christian nation than a non-Muslim in a Muslim nation or a non-Jew in the Jew nation. That includes the brutal and otherwise savage Christian nations, or "Catholic" nations as most refer to them.
